What are the Problems You Face Today as a Technology Developer?
Emergency managers & public safety personnel are often busy and don't often have time to learn about new technologies;
It can be difficult to obtain feedback about the realities of the emergency management world, leading to assumptions in the development of technological solutions;
Public procurement rules can preclude even the start of some conversations between technological solutions and emergency managers;
Public budgeting timelines are slow and there are few practitioners who have money capable of investing into new solutions without both understanding and a champion inside their agency advocating for what new technologies can do for them; and
Technology development timelines often don't match the slow nature of getting adopted into the public sector.
How can being involved in Virtual EMA Help My Organization?
We are an association of practitioners who understand the difficulties and complexities of working with public organizations.
Our mission is to provide an accessible and open environment for emergency managers and public safety personnel to educate, chat and share information about emerging technologies.
We can lend our expertise and voice to help you inform, demonstrate and beta test new products for the emergency services sector.
